Box Bags.....I have been on a box bag making kick lately, and have actually enjoyed working with the ones made out of oilcloth and laminated cottons. These turned out really nicely, but I have sold them all, and now my machine is in the repair shop, so no new ones for a few more days. The good thing is that I have cut the fabrics and interfacing for some new ones, and I have ordered a bunch more zippers. Want one? They're $20.

Well, it's been 2 weeks since my last post, but I am getting ready to do a big event for DC Fashion Week this Sunday, at the French Embassy. I am super-excited, because I haven't done an event at the French Embassy before, and I think that it's going to be fun. Hopefully they'll be lots of great French food. Since we are doing French this week, how about a felted cloche? $52, and a perennial best seller.

So here are the clutches that I was selling at the Holiday Market that sold so well. More will be coming soon. These are 10" clutches, that sell for $68. I am about to order some 8" purse frames and will have them in that size too. Made from a decorator fabrics, this is the last one left, I will hopefully have more by mid-March, and will post more colors soon.
By the way, I have been fortunate enough to be able to vend at Eastern Market these past few Sundays, and I will be there on Sunday too. They are promising 50 degree weather, that's tropical right now!!!!

Wow! It's been a year since I last posted????? No excuses, I just never get round to posting, but I think that I can at least make an attempt to post a photo of a new hat once a week. Additionally, new fabric clutches and make-up bags will be posted soon, once I have replenished my Christmas stock.
Well, on to the hatfor this week: I love, love, love this hat! It's made from a tweedy wool and comes in most colors from black to orange and most colors in between, with these wonderful flecks in it. Cost is $36.

Well it's been a long cold winter, and quite honestly I'm through with it, (although that 60 degree weekend at the beginning of the month was very nice!) I'm looking forward to the Spring and have already started working on my Spring collection, LOL! I also have some great denim, cotton and corduroy fabric bags in Small and Large which I will debut on the blog next week.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the wonderful support that you gave me last year, and this year has started off great too, so thanks again.
Also, while it's still cold, why not treat yourself to a felted cloche or a bulky cabled button beret. Cloche is $52, Beret is $45.

Felted Cloche Hats
So many people asked me to make my cloche hats out of wool and to felt them, and their wish is my command. It took me several attempts to come up with a look that I was satisfied with, and a look that I knew would please my customers, and here it is. My model is Susan lilypaddesigns.com, who is my friend and fellow vendor. She grabbed this one as soon as it came off the press. They are $52 each, and have been selling like hotcakes, possibly because Susan wears it in her booth and looks so cute in it. Come check them out, I will be at the market every Saturday and Sunday in November and December with the exception of December 14th, when I will be at the Squidfire show in Baltimore.
