Felted Cloche Hats

So many people asked me to make my cloche hats out of wool and to felt them, and their wish is my command. It took me several attempts to come up with a look that I was satisfied with, and a look that I knew would please my customers, and here it is. My model is Susan lilypaddesigns.com, who is my friend and fellow vendor. She grabbed this one as soon as it came off the press. They are $52 each, and have been selling like hotcakes, possibly because Susan wears it in her booth and looks so cute in it. Come check them out, I will be at the market every Saturday and Sunday in November and December with the exception of December 14th, when I will be at the Squidfire show in Baltimore.

Wow, I know it's been ALMOST A YEAR - LOL! Whatever, I've been busy, very busy since my last post in February. I am now a permanent vendor at the National Harbor market in PG County, the market is closed for the season, however, I will be there for the holiday market which starts on the weekend after Thanksgiving and runs every Saturday (from 12-8), and Sunday (from 12-5), through the Sunday before Christmas. Actually I won't be there, but my product will, and my new assistant April will be there for me.

I had a GREAT weekend this weekend at Eastern Market, I haven't been there on Saturday's since May, when I started at the National Harbor, but I am back, and I thank everyone who came out to shop. Old and new customers alike, I thank you all very much. I met another bunch of new customers on Sunday, and a ton of people that met me for the first time at the Jill Scott show at Merriweather Post in Columbia, MD, back in August.

Please remember Christmas is coming and I won't be taking any last minute orders, please get your orders in before the first weekend in December. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't call my house at midnight a week before Christmas begging me to make some hats ASAP because you need to give them as a Christmas gift, and you didn't think it would be a problem. Yes, you know who you are, and you know you were wrong, LOL!

HA! 2 posts in two days, whatever next? This is Mary, and she lives on "The Hill". Fortunately for me Mary can't stop by without buying a hat! This is hat # 4, and she has also bought a hat for her husband. Next is a scarf. Thanks Mary!!

I won't be at the market on Sunday, it seems the weather is going to be a little crazy. I don't mind the cold, but apparently it's going to be windy, so forget that! Instead you can catch me at Union Station. One of my friends has a kiosk there, and he has started carrying my hats. I haven't been over there, so I am going to go over on Sunday to arrange the display for him. He seems to be doing OK though, he's sold a few hats and scarves, but I think he thinks it needs a woman's touch, and to be quite honest I would like to see what it looks like for myself.

Well Happy New Year everybody!!! It's the beginning of February, and I am still catching up from the crazy fall and winter madness, which is a very good thing, but stressful. I still have a lot of custom orders to fill, but each week puts a serious dent in the list (especially since I am addicted to the Primaries and the debates - Go Obama!!
Thank you so much everybody for making 2007 such a wonderful year, and the way 2008 has started maybe this year will be even better.

I am at Dreadz n Headz on Friday, and at the market on Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting.
By the way the above photo is of Candace, she is a hat-a-holic! Doesn't she look cute.
